BOTG: What do you think of the feminist movement?

VC: I think it’s a great thing as women to stand up for ourselves.

BOTG: What do you think of the interaction between men and women today?

VC: To be honest the interaction between men and women today is sad. It’s very disappointing. We are definitely lacking respect for one another.

BOTG: What qualities do you think it takes a man to be a man and a woman to be a woman?

VC: First off a woman should have understanding. She should have respect for herself and others and she should be willing to take care of a real man when she gets one. A real man should bring income in the house hold. He should always be willing to provide and protect his family by all means.

BOTG: Why do you think a lot of women ( especially black women) are single?

VC: There are a few reasons why but number one is there are a lot more women in the world then there are men. And a lot of black women are single because a lot of our black me are either gay or in jail and a lot of them are dating outside there race.

BOTG: Why are women so eagered to get married? Would you say marriage changes things?

VC: I think it’s in a women’s nature to want to feel loved and secure, so we naturally gravitate towards marriage. And marriage does changes things (it’s a much different ball game.)

BOTG: If you had the power to change the interaction between men and women what would it be?

VC: I just wish we could cut out at least half of the negative things that we felt for one another. The bottom line is a woman needs a man and a man needs a woman.

BOTG: When you wrote your book ‘A young girl’s fantasy’, what were you think? What inspired you to write?

VC: I started A young girl’s fantasy when I was twenty years old. I always had a creative side to me. An idea just popped in my head to write a book. I thought I would give it a try. At the time a lot of great ideas were coming to me.

BOTG: What do you think of the feminist movement.

TM: I believe and have always believed that we as human beings any ethnicity or gender should be treated as equal. The Feminist movement has just allowed women to be viewed as equals while embarking upon rights we once never had.

BOTG: What do you think of the interaction between men and women today?

TM: I feel that the interaction among men and women today has come a long way since the old days. Women are more outspoken, independent, and seeking to accompish what makes them happy.

BOTG: What qualities do you think it takes a man to be a man and a woman to be a woman?

TM: To be a man, a man has to be a Christian, goal oriented, a provider, true to himself and not afraid to take on lifes journey’s. To be a woman, she must possess those same qualities yet if married, she must understand becoming equally yoked and not being afraid to be submissive.

BOTG: What do you think are the roles of men and women in a relationship or marriage?

TM: In marriage again, both must be Christians, share common beliefs, protect one another, respect one another and never let man come between them.

BOTG: Why do you think a lot of women (especially black women) are single?

TM: Because they just havent found the right man.

BOTG: Why are women so eager to get married? Would you say marriage changes anything?

TM: I believe it depends on the situation, a woman could have Mr. Right and want to claim Mr. Right. A woman could be influenced by a friend who just got married. Thing is, marriage is sacred, so we just have to be sure about it when we decide to committ our lives fully to it.

BOTG: If you had the power to change the interaction between men and women what would it be?

TM: Equality across the board.

Eka Samone: Regarding Love

Eka Samone

Big difference between sex and love. Love does not equate to sex. Even rats, roaches, flies have sex and they do it for the sole purpose of procreating not to fall in love. Only us, the humans, the top animals called Homosapiens (latin word meaning “wise man” or “knowing man”), get it confused sometimes.

It is true, emotions play a big part in a relationship and during sex (makes it more enjoyable if women feel an emotional rollercoaster of pleasure and pain during sex) but sex and love are two different thing. Sex is physical, love is mental. The mental always comes first, always! The mind is the master of the body. The body is it’s pupil. Sex feels good but to call it love, cmonnn, most of you fellas need to calm down!

BOTG: What do you think of the feminist movement?

MD: I don’t think we have a feminist movement, a female president of a company will make less then a male of the same company. WE ARE STILL NOT EQUAL!

BOTG: What do you think of the interaction between men and women today?

MD: What interaction, where!

BOTG: What qualities do you think it takes a man to be a man and a woman to be a woman?

MD: For a man to own up to his responsibilities for his action’s. Same thing for a woman.

BOTG: What do you think are the roles of men and women in a relationship or marriage?

MD: I believe a man is supposed to take care of home, he’s supposed to support her in what ever it is that she wants to do. A woman is supposed to be there just as equally for him as he is for her. I believe in a marriage it should be 100% to 100%. That way if something goes wrong you would definitely know everything will be alright.

BOTG: What do you think of the feminist movement?

VA: I believe the feminist movement because so many women need empowerment. So many women have paved the way for other women.

BOTG: What do you think of the interaction between men and women today?

VA: I think that both sexes need to be more outgoing in their communication between each other. Just more open in each individual’s needs and be real with themselves as who they really are as a person.

BOTG: What qualities do you think it takes a man to be a man and a woman to be a woman?

VA: I feel that both need to have internal strength. A man need to reconize his strengths and the values he had growing up, making him a man and women need to build good strong self esteem and love themselves. Just embrace who you are as a male or female.

BOTG: What do you think are the roles of men and women in a relationship or marriage?

VA: To me there is no exact particular role because a lot of women are in powerful positions so there are a lot of men who have to cook and take care of the kids and do laundry etc. I feel as long as each individual work together as a unit and agree on each person duties things will work out fine; as long as there is a agreement.

BOTG: Why do you think a lot of women (especially black women) are single?

VA: Well from what I can see, it seems like so many black women take on the stronger male role so with some it can be hard to relax and let a man take over a little.

BOTG: Why are women so eager to get married? Would you say marriage changes anything?

VA: Because a lot of women are raised that way. And no, marriage may not change anything u still have to work at marriage.

BOTG: What do you think of the feminist movement?

AW: I think it is an incredible thing that we still have women out there that will not bow down to the “stereotypes” of femininity. I love that.

BOTG: What do you think of the interaction between men and women today?

2 Words…. false advertisement. No one seems to be real with themselves or each other for that matter. Its pretty disturbing if you ask me.

BOTG: What qualities do you think it takes a man to be a man and a woman to be a woman?

AW: Know your self-worth. Its that basic.

BOTG: Why do you think a lot of women (especially black women) are single?

AW: I blame today’s current media. Women[especially young black women]feel its more important to be a carbon-copy of the latest artist, rather than read a freakin’ book. In my opinion, I am not apologizing for NOT being with the crowd, I just concentrate on being original.

BOTG: Give your definition of a nice guy.

AW: A man that cannot only stand up for his beliefs….but isnt afraid of sharing his deep, most intimate thoughts.

BOTG: What do you think of a man that does anything you want?

AW: Personally… spineless. I need someone with an opinion now and then.

BOTG: Is it good for a man to be nice?

AW: Not all the time. There is a time and place for everything.

BOTG: In a relationship what do you bring to the table? Continue reading
